inkStar includes intelligent scheduling features that help you find available time slots and avoid double-bookings.

Conflict detection

When creating or editing an appointment, the timeframe widget automatically checks for scheduling conflicts. If the selected employee already has an appointment that overlaps with the chosen start and end time, a warning is displayed.

This prevents accidental double-bookings and helps you quickly find open slots.

Availability suggestions

The Get Possible Dates feature suggests available time slots based on:

• Employee — Which artist’s schedule to check
• Duration — How long the appointment needs to be
• Filters — Optional preferences:
  • Specific weekdays
  • Specific months
  • Time of day preferences
  • Preferred date (to search near a specific date)

The system analyzes the employee’s work schedule, existing appointments, and schedule overrides to find open slots that fit the requested duration.

AI-powered scheduling

inkStar also offers an AI-powered time slot finder that accepts natural language instructions. Instead of configuring filters manually, you can describe what you need — like “find a morning slot next week” or “any Wednesday afternoon in March”.

The AI works through several steps:

1. Analyzing your request
2. Checking availability against the employee’s schedule
3. Searching for slots that match your criteria
4. Refining results to present the best options

Results stream in real-time as the AI processes your request.

Availability statistics

The availability stats feature provides a heatmap of when an employee is most available, broken down by:

• Weekday — Which days have the most open time
• Month — Which months are busiest/freest
• Time of day — Morning, afternoon, and evening availability scores

This helps you quickly understand an employee’s availability patterns without checking specific dates.
