Contracts & Signatures Overview

inkStar’s contract system lets you create digital contracts with customizable templates, collect legally binding electronic signatures, and manage customer consent, all without paper.

  1. Create a template - Build a reusable contract layout with block types like text, inputs, checkboxes, and signature fields
  2. Create a contract - Generate a contract from a template, linked to a customer and optionally an appointment
  3. Share with customer - Send the contract via email, SMS, QR code, or a direct link
  4. Customer fills out - The customer opens the contract, fills in the fields, gives consent, and signs
  5. Signed PDF - A PDF is automatically generated and stored for your records

All contracts in inkStar are fully compliant with eSign law. When a customer fills out or signs a contract, inkStar automatically records:

  • The customer’s IP address
  • Their location
  • Device information (browser, operating system)
  • Language settings
  • Timestamps for every action (viewing the contract, downloading attachments, signing)
  • A snapshot of the contract exactly as it appeared when the customer submitted it

This audit trail ensures that every contract is legally binding and can be verified if needed.
