Calendar Overview
The calendar is the central hub of inkStar. It displays all appointments across your studio and provides multiple ways to create, view, and manage bookings.
Accessing the calendar
Section titled “Accessing the calendar”The calendar is the second item in the side menu and one of the main views of the app. When you tap the calendar icon while already on the calendar page, it automatically navigates you back to the current date.
Calendar header
Section titled “Calendar header”The header shows the current month and year. Tap the title to open a date picker overlay for quick date navigation to any date.
Navigation buttons
Section titled “Navigation buttons”- Today button (calendar icon) — Instantly jumps the calendar to the current date
- Search button — Opens the appointments list view with full search and filter capabilities
Interacting with appointments
Section titled “Interacting with appointments”- Tap an appointment — Opens the appointment details page
- Drag an existing appointment — Opens the reschedule flow with the new time pre-filled
- Drag on empty space — Creates a new appointment with the selected time range (see Creating from Calendar)
Appointment tile display
Section titled “Appointment tile display”Each appointment is displayed as a colored tile on the calendar:
- Color — Based on the appointment’s kind (background and border color)
- Text — Shows the appointment name in italic
- Series badge — A repeat icon appears for recurring appointments
- All-day events — Displayed in a simplified bar style at the top of the day
Calendar settings
Section titled “Calendar settings”Tap the settings icon (gear) to open the Calendar Options Sheet where you can configure views, zoom, filters, and more.
