inkStar automates certain contract-related notifications to ensure timely completion.

Fillout due reminder

A background process periodically checks for contracts that:

• Have a fillout deadline set
• Have not been filled out yet
• Haven’t already received a reminder

When found, the system creates an in-app notification for the studio staff alerting them that a contract’s fillout deadline has passed. The contract is then flagged to prevent duplicate reminders.

Template-to-kind auto-selection

When a contract template is linked to an appointment kind, creating a contract from an appointment with that kind automatically pre-selects the matching template. This streamlines the workflow — the right contract template is suggested based on the type of appointment.

Notification templates

Customer notification templates include contract-related templates:

• Contract shared — Sent when a contract is shared with a customer
• Contract fillout reminder — Sent to remind customers to complete their contract
• Contract post-signed — Sent after the customer submits their contract
