Guest Artists

Guest artists in inkStar are regular employees with a Temporary schedule type. There’s no separate guest artist entity — the temporary schedule features handle the full guest artist workflow.

  1. Add a new employee
  2. On the edit page, go to the Work Schedule section
  3. Set the schedule type to Temporary
  4. Set the Valid From and Valid Until dates for their visit
  5. Configure their working hours for the visit period
  • A yellow “Temporary” badge appears on their profile
  • The validity date range is prominently displayed
  • On the calendar, their appointments use the employee’s assigned color

After the “Valid Until” date passes, the employee remains in the system but their schedule is no longer active. You can:

  • Update the dates for a future visit
  • Change the schedule type to Fixed if they become permanent
  • Delete the employee record if they won’t return
