Schedule Overrides
Schedule overrides let you temporarily change an employee’s working hours for a specific period — useful for holidays, training weeks, reduced hours, or special events.
How overrides work
Section titled “How overrides work”An override replaces the employee’s regular schedule for a date range. During the override period, the regular schedule is ignored and the override’s work week is used instead.
Creating an override
Section titled “Creating an override”From the employee edit page → Work Schedule section:
- Tap + in the Schedule Overrides section
- The Edit Schedule Override Sheet opens:
- Start date (required) — When the override begins
- End date (optional) — When it ends (leave empty for open-ended)
- Work week — A full work week editor for the override period
Smart day filtering
Section titled “Smart day filtering”If the override’s date range spans fewer than 7 days, only the relevant days of the week are shown in the editor. For example, a Monday-to-Wednesday override only shows Mon, Tue, and Wed.
Editing and deleting
Section titled “Editing and deleting”Each override card on the work schedule section shows:
- The date range
- A compact summary of the override schedule
- Edit — Modify the override
- Delete — Remove the override (with confirmation)
Validation
Section titled “Validation”The end date cannot be before the start date.
