Payments & Invoicing Overview
inkStar’s payment system handles every aspect of studio finances — from recording cash payments to sending online payment links through Mollie.
Payment anatomy
Section titled “Payment anatomy”Each payment record contains:
- Amount — The payment amount
- Tip — Optional tip amount
- Currency — Based on your company settings
- Payment method — Which method was used
- Customer (payee) — Who made the payment
- Appointment — Linked appointment (if applicable)
- Contract — Linked contract (if applicable)
- Status — Pending, Authorized, Paid, Booked, Declined, Cancelled, or Expired
- Date — When the payment was made
- Description — Optional notes
